Is this a brown recluse or a house spider? I wasn’t able to count the eyes. Looks like a brown recluse to me. I saw it around midnight walking across my carpet, then scurried onto my wall. I like in St. Louis, MO.
I have many glue traps around my apartment and have not noticed many spiders on the traps yet. The glue traps were put out by a pest control professional who was evaluating the area for roaches (I just moved in recently) . I am hopeful there are no other spiders here.

Yes, Loxoceles reclusa. A brown recluse
Seconding brown recluse. If you aren’t close enough to count the eyes, it’s helpful to take note of how its second pair of legs are longer than the first, and the legs lack hairs long enough to be noticeable.
If it’s any reassurance since it sounds like it’s still in your house, brown recluse are very reluctant to bite. If you see it again, I’d recommend cupping it, sliding something like a piece of paper under the cup, and releasing it outside if you can!
