Comments & ID Thoughts

Google says its probably a Hacklemesh Weaver (Callobius bennetti.) Found it in my living room.
It ran at me twice but only lifted its front legs in warning after trying to scoop it into a cup to take outside.
My cat tried to play with it and it didnt try to run or attack her, just curled like a dead spider would. Photo taken after she played with it, so its definitely alive still.

Certainly Amaurobiidae family. a couple species this could be.
I have a hard time telling these apart from Scotophaeus blackwalli
