Found three of these fellas chilling on my garage. There were a whole bunch of those really stupid June beetles flying around/into their webs, so I suppose that's why they set up shop there. I like the way the cephalothorax is matte like that, and it kinda looks like an egg. Pretty cool little guys.

First hunch is a triangulate cobweb spider, but also has features of an orb weaver.
they weren’t exactly weaving orbs. just regular spider webs really.
also these guys seem to be nocturnal. they weren’t there the next morning but were back again the night after.
yeah these guys were waaaaay too big to be a triangulate cobweb spider, although they might be related to them. I hate to use coin measurements, but I believe they were penny size.

this gal could cover a penny. She caught a darkling beetle in the pantry, larger than she was.
ah its a furrow spider! I looked at them again a few nights ago and they were actually much bigger than a penny. I suppose these guys live on my garage now. what should I name them?
Well, I passed on furrow spider because it doesn’t look that big, but yea I have seen them dollar size.
they’re big bois. you can’t really tell in the picture. what should I name these three fellas?
