Looks to be a Joro spider, one of our gold silk orb weavers.
Leucauge venusta can have these ventral markings.
That may be it. Easy to overlook working from memory.
My memory is a mess right now. My standard answer to questions currently is, ” I don’t know.”
I’m trying to teach my father compensation techniques, he’s doing very well with them. My own memory compensation for this spider is ” L. Venusta has a smiley face in her Venus’s mirror.
Yea, with the pain I am in, it fogs the brain. I like your smiley face connection, Maybe I will not it.
