I am thinking a fishing spider or nursery web spider.

“Broken Pattern” Nursery Web Spider. https://www.bugguide.net/node/view/271505 I looked at the Pennsylvania photos of the species on Bugguide, the state seems to have many brown ones and almost no fishing spiders. I think I used to know that.

thanks for the reply, sorry if this is a silly question: this is basically just a different coloration of a nursery web spider? such as this one, i get confused identifying them because of this at times.even within the same category (p.mira).
