My 1st impression was black widow, it was shiny like a black widow but it legs werent long and spindly like other Black widows Ive seen.

Looks like Calobius severus, a hacklmesh weaver.

thank you! It was odd. shaped more like a jumping spider, but all black and shiny like a black widow. Our extremely mild winter, I think, caused us to have 10x the amount of spiders and bugs this year. Some of both, like this spider, I have never seen.
