This little girl has been in my bathroom (Bellevue, WA) for the past couple of weeks since I got back from (Bellevue,N#) Nebraska. She has grown fairly significantly in size. I am trying to figure out a good way to relocate her and the web all at once, but for now she's not bothering me in this corner. Sorry the tape measure is so far away, but I'm pretty sure it's still in the same focal plane as the spider, any closer and it would be in the web, even this was touching the web.

During theae weeks in her web, she's caught a couple of little flies, that keep getting in because my windows are all open for the heat. And I saw her eat a ground spider if some kind. That's what the black smudge in the lower right of the picture is the corpse of the ground spider. That spider came into her web and got stuck and she actually pulled the web so she got to bite the rear of the abdomen of the offending spider. At the time, she was smaller than the spider, but now since eating it, she's grown bigger.

There was another smaller spider, which I presume is a male of this or another similar species, and it built a web under hers. I don't know what happened one day that other smaller spider was gone. If that was a mate, then there will be egg sacs soon, and I'm going to relocate if I see that immediately. Good plan or not.

I've seen this spider mostly chill in the web only moving significantly to retrieve prey and drop it from the web. I have seen smaller movements for minor web repairs, or plucking, and the threads of the web. I presume to check for immobilized prey, but I don't really know.

The spider is too small for me to see the eye pattern or shape of the spinnerettes. I had to guess I would presume it's the same type of spider I saw in Nebraska, likely it, or an egg sac, came up with me when I moved back in December.
