Beautiful female Argiope aurantia, a harmless spider with a multitude of common names. Grew up knowing them as writing spiders myself. Deeply beloved and nostalgic spiders for me! They will sometimes wobble their web as a way to say “hey I’m here and I want you to stay away over there.”
