Black and Yellow Garden Spider I believe

Fairly new to looking at spiders this closely, but this looks remarkably similar to the pictures of the Yellow Garden Spider (Argiope aurantia) found on the Clemson Extension website, here. Even the web bears the same zig-zag pattern going down the center.

This is definitely an adult female Argiope aurantia. When she becomes ‘pregnant’ (gravid), that abdomen will become quite round. Males are much smaller and not so boldly marked.
