What is this massive spider?!? The legs are in pairs, two forward and two backward on each side. She is very large for this area. Those front legs look about two inches long, and the body is about an inch. Is she poisonous?

OK, pretty sure this is Argiope aurantia, a black and yellow orb spider. She has one large egg sac in her web already.
Yes, you are correct! Beautiful spiders, some of my favorites! As well, to answer your question, almost every spider is technically venomous as venom plays a key role in how the majority of spiders deal with prey, but no, this gal’s bite poses no risk to a human; an orb weaver of this size has a bite similar to that of a bee sting. Her abdomen’s color is so lovely! Thank you for sharing her with us.
Well said. 🙂 I wish we could use real emojis here. I didn’t know that this species puts the egg sac in the web. A cool thing about this photo is how visible her angulate projections ( pointy shoulders ) are.
