Comments & ID Thoughts

After googling it, we're confident this is a Misumena Vatia. The article we read says it's a cousin to the tarantula and it's venom is deadly, but not to humans because they're unable to break through our sin with their fangs.

The one we found was about 2 cm without it's legs spread out.

We decided to let it go on its way. Was that the right decision?

It depends on how much you like bees, which they will occasionally snag from their floral perches.
