What kind of spider is this? I've walked through the woods in this area for over 30 plus years and this is the first time I've ever this. It looked like two legs in the front proceed off the leaf in front.

I’ve never seen on of these before either. Your observation about the long legs that don’t touch the leaf lead me to think it may be an opilione AKA/ daddy long legs or harvestman. They are arachnids but they aren’t spiders. It has its legs positioned lightly like one. If it IS a spider, my best hunch for a genus is Pholcus.
