Comments & ID Thoughts

This thing has bit me twice. It is incredibly small, about the size of a lower case o on a phone keyboard. It but me on my foot and neck. Both times I felt it immediately and it inflicted a painful sting. I had to pry it off my skin both times. The whole area got red almost immediately and after the red faded, a small white-ish bump was left. Overnight the bump turned into a red mark on the skin.

The disease can cause joint pain, aching muscles, and a tired feeling. There are two blood tests for Lyme disease, but usually you do not need them. The good news is that it wasn’t a deer tick, now called a “black-legged tick”. They don’t have white on them and the legs are black.
