I think this is a "steatoda grandis." Looked very much like a widow spi der. My kids found it in our couch. There was a single thread of web by it.

Hi, I think you got the ID. Steatoda grandis has a population concentration in Wyoming. Many spiders trail a strand of web behind them as they walk. It serves as a tether to keep them from falling too far or being blown away in a wind gust.
