Hi, this is an interesting orb weaver. She looks like a very darkly colored shamrock orbweaver, Araneus trifolium.
I’m going with Araneus marmoreus (Marbled Orb-weaver) for this one but agree A. trifoloum can look very similar. Both species have a lot of variations, especially A. marmoreus. One of each with similar coloration below:

I wasn’t expecting that twist in the plot, I thought you might go to A. diadematus instead.
