Picture of unidentified spider

Comments & ID Thoughts

Found inside my Weber grill. Located on my deck, inside a screened gazebo. I just want to know if it is dangerous. I have little children running around my home. I don't want them getting bit.

This looks like a wolf spider, as it lacks the violin marking. Wolf spiders tend to be really calm mannered so unless they are constantly bugging her, she’ll go about her life and leave you alone, more likely preferring to get away from you rather than to bite. Bites from all kinds of wolf spiders anyway are typically not fatal, and judging from where you took this picture, any bites from this spider would only be itchy and a bit irritated.

Hi. I see a white banded fishing spider in this, If I could see the eyes, it would confirm.
these are often mistaken for wolf spiders. Neither would be any worse than a bee sting.
That red blob on the spider is a parasitic worm, if no removed, the poor spider is doomed.
Your children will be fine, they go grabbing or molesting the spider it could provoke a painful bite.
Not medically significant, allergies can be problematic.
