While hiking on Olamana, on the north side of Oahu, in 1972, I came across a spider that looked very much like this. I, being a dumb, 19 year old Marine, decided to climb Olamana one fine Saturday, I believe in February or March. I was unaware that there were actual hiking trails on the mountain, so I decided to try following a ridge line on the south side of the mountain that led toward the highest peak of Olamana.
