Hi there! Full disclosure : I am NOT an expert, nor do I have any extra / specific knowledge on spiders. With that said, I honestly believe I know what kind of spider that is, and as a general rule I’m NEVER this certain about things I’m a ‘layman’ in; I could be completely wrong though, so definitely do some triple-checking. I agree, a male southern house spider. They are considered totally harmless by arachnologist, not known to bite.
Often mistaken for brown recluse spiders, their protruding pedipalps helps identify these.
