Im not very knowledgeable about spiders, but based on the pictures ive seen here on the site im guessing this is some sort of orb weaver.

Yes, she’s an orbweaver. It is easiest to identify an orbweaver kind of spider when you see it with an orb web. The females are bigger and rounder than the males. This one might be Araneus gemmoides.
