Picture of unidentified spider

Comments & ID Thoughts

My initial guess on this would be a Trap-Door or Mouse spider. It had a very furry body and the hair on it's legs were orange/red colored. The legs were black and light brown striped and it was a big round shaped body about 1 and 1/2 inch in body length and it was hiding underneath my trash can handle outside at 12AM.

I think I found one of these in Knoxville tonight. I posted the picture. It was a big one.

Hi. your spider is one of the garden orb weavers, Only a hunch, but likely Neoscona species.
They can get a little chunky his time of year, Very harmless spiders though.
