I’m not even sure it’s a spider, it moved like one. Don’t want my kids there if it is an issue. Have not found it on the web and to be honest the six legs confusing me. Also, my wife insists the front legs are togeather and it has 8 but I’m not convinced.
Your wife is correct. This is a spider with its front legs together. It’s either a fishing spider in the genus Dolomedes or a nursery web spider in the genus Pisaurina. I think it’s the latter, but I can’t identify the species. It’s not dangerous if that’s a a concern.
