Comments & ID Thoughts

Need to know what kind of spider this is. I watch her every night and it's so intresting. I know it takes its web down and puts another one up at dusk time. She has a large abdomen and stripped tan and black legs and dots on her under belly. She is located outside my kitchen window.

Hi, she’s an orbweaver kind of spider. Possibly Neoscona crucifera, a Hentz orbweaver. They do replace their web every day. The females are much bigger and bolder than the males, so if you see an orb weaver it usually is a female.
