This beautiful spider was on our crown molding last week. I've never seen anything like it! A friend suggested it might be in the comb spider family (note the hairs on its legs), or the crab spider family, but we are stumped. I'd love to know its type, and as a mom, I'd feel better knowing if its vibrant coloring indicated it was venomous. We are on the New Jersey side of the metro New York City area. Thanks!
