Comments & ID Thoughts
Currently in Virginia Beach. Saw this while taking pictures. Was wondering what exactly it is. My best guess right now is an adolescent Black Widow but I'm not sure. Help is appreciated as I don't know much about spiders at all.

Hi, it looks like a Mabel Orchard Orbweaver, Leucauge argyrobapta. She’s hunting large flying insects. They’re nocturnal and eat their own web in the morning and rebuild it later. They spend the daytime sleeping in a curled leaf or a crevice at the edge of the area they build their webs.
