Comments & ID Thoughts
Until today (8/15/2018) I had never seen a yellow spider, much less one so distinctly colored as this one. I'm not a spider aficionado, but I do find them fascinating. According to your website, this is most likely a Cheiracanthium mildei, the more common of two similar spiders, the other being the Cheiracanthium inclusum. I'll have to let someone else venture a more educated opinion. Bishop, CA is in the Owens Valley, east of the Sierra Nevada Range, between Yosemite and Death Valley; high desert climate (4000 ft). Sighted c. 11:15 am, temp: 85F
