Comments & ID Thoughts
I believe this is a young wolf Spider? I am a northerner new to living in central Florida. I had my first encounter with what I believed to be a giant wolf spider on the floor inside by my front door. I didn’t waste any time in smashing it I was so freaked. It wasn’t until after smashing it that I read to not do exactly that and why. If it were a mother with eggs than would they have been so microscopic that it wouldn’t have been at all visible to the human eyes? Even when looking very close? I didn’t see anything. This photo was taken 2 days after I killed the big spider and was in a different room. Any advice and/or confirmation would be so greatly appreciated!!
