Hi, this is an orbweaver spider in the genus Nephila. You don’t need to let these gals control where you are. They have no interest in interacting with you. All she wants to kill are insects and any male spiders that try to mate with her that are too slow or awkward about it. The males have to risk their lives to have sex. Then the males die soon afterwards anyway. Females totally rule in the world of spiders.
