Beautiful shot of this one. Looks like a standard Black and Yellow Garden spider aka Argiope aurantia. That is as close as I can get. I may just stop at Argiope as I am not sure the proper taxonomy for one in your area. They are scary and pretty. They eat bad bugs and annoying flying insects. They tend to spend a lot of time during midday time to evening and can remain motionless. I think that this spider is more like this one https://spiderid.com/picture/3049/
Recently my spider made huge white orb and disappear. I don’t know how to upload new pictures and connect it with this picture, not as a new spider.
Hi Vlado, I agree with your identification of your spider as Argiope bruennichi. We don’t see photos of it as often as A. aurantia, so not all of us are aware it exists. The main difference in appearance seems to be A. bruennichi has wavier horizontal lines, possibly different feet. There isn’t a way to add photos to a previous post. You can make a new posting and say that it goes with picture number 31019 and we should be able to figure it out.

Hi and welcome to he site. Simstim is on the right track, but I might suggest this is a banded garden spider, Argiope trifasciata species, just like a gal I had one season.

I appreciate your help. I see so much variety in these, I have a lot to learn.
