Guessing a male hobo. My sister tapped her shoe in front of it and it was aggressive and chased her or maybe thought she was a place to hide! This was about 50 cent coin in size. I've seen these in my backyard too.

Yes, I agree. A male Eratigena agrestis. Their name means “of the fields” rather than aggressive, it’s more likely he thought she was a good hiding spot.
