Comments & ID Thoughts
Hoping this is not a serious concern, such as a widow variant. It’s body looks similar to a widow’s, but the coloring is clearly off. Any clarification would be greatly appreciated. Found on the ceiling of our garage.

Hi, this could be Parasteatoda tepidariorum. They are shaped like widow spiders and build webs and egg sacks like they do. They’re generally all called tangleweb or cobweb spiders. Their webs are quite sticky and look like a random mess of threads, but they have longer hidden triplines to snap crawling insects.
