Picture of unidentified spider

Comments & ID Thoughts

This appears to be a European garden spider. There were two somewhat close to each other, probably no more than two meters apart in separate webs. The one in the picture is between the wall of the house and the roof of the porch, and the other was between a different wall and a shrub. I didn’t get a picture of the other one before it started to rain.

Hi, she’s gorgeous! She’s a cross orbweaver, Araneus diadematus. Her coloring is vibrant and her abdomen is relatively small, I think she’s young.
