Comments & ID Thoughts
I believe this is a type of wolf spider. I'm thinking either a Tigrosa grandis or georcicola.

Can anyone help me identify the exact type of spider this is?
Hi. I agree, Tigrosa grandis or georcicola species.
Tigrosa is not a small genus, photo ID has a margine of error where there are numerous species an variants. Tigrosa annexa can’t be ruled out. T. grandis may be least likley.
Thanks, Dan! I grew up with Tigrosa annexa running around all over my property growing up so I know that it isn’t that specious for sure. After looking thru a lot of the pictures and turning him loose outside and being able to get a good look at it under natural light I believe it is a Tigrosa georgicola. I would still be happy to hear others opinions before making a judgement though.
Hi. in most cases like this, the known range can eliminate some species. The rest may be up to close examination of identification features. Sometimes, macro shots of these features can get a specimen to species with certainty.
Yours, simply a pretty spider, likely something I would keep in captivity. My first pet spider was a large Hogna species back in ’62, the spider that got me started in amateur arachnology.
