White banded crab spider? I have no idea. Have never seen one before, but it had captured an insect much bigger than itself. On a butterfly bush.

Yes, I think your ID is correct. Misumenoides formosipes. Ithe prey might be a species of sphynx moth, which are nocturnal pollinators.
