No idea of initial guess. It was about an inch long, perhaps a little more. I saw it on the siding of our house.

I wouldn’t expect you to guess this, she’s not average looking for her species. She looks like a shamrock orbweaver, Araneus trifolium, to me. Sometimes they have fuzzy abdomens that look like peaches. The black and white banded legs are a clue too.
yes, someone on Instagram ID’d it as the same. I saw another two since then, and they looked similar, but not as furry or big. Thanks!
