This spider is located on the roof edge of the cottage, on Kauai, HI. I don’t know what kind of spider this is.

Your spider is Argiope appensa, a Hawaiian garden spider. It looks different than the other photos of them because it is missing some of its black coloring. The Argiope genus spiders are sometimes seen with what looks like some of the outer pigmented layer of color worn off.
