Lives in my mailbox…I think it’s the same one that’s been there for many years….
Hi, I think she’s a furrow orbweaver, Larinioides cornutus. Mail carriers can refuse to service a mailbox with spiders or insects in or on them. It might be nice to thank yours for not making a problem of it. 🙂 I have a hive of yellow jacket hornets living under my porch. The neighbors kept driving the hive away from their yards with chemicals. I let the pollinators move to my sanctuary yard as insect refugees. They swarm around my porch steps (guard bugs) and let us and delivery people pass through them. My point is that I can’t believe… Read more »
lol its just a marbled orb weaver
1. not poisonous
2. will live there for the rest of its life until you move it
3. wont ever bother you if it made a web out of the way
4. I dont expect this one to draw you pretty pictures unlike other orb weavers…
