Found on the door frame outside. No web visible. About 1 inch. Maybe some type of Wolf Spider? 'Played dead' when we first found it and then moved, but not quickly.

Hi, this is an orbweaver in family Aranidae. It might be male. I’m not sure what species it is. Araneus trifolium has black and white banded legs, but a totally different abdomen.
