Comments & ID Thoughts

this spider photo was taken on Sept 16, 2017 in its web in low vegetation near the lakeshore. It is a Longjawed Orbweaver but I was wondering if anyone could tell which species it is from this photo.

Tetragnatha is a another big genus full of similar looking species. For North America the only one I know how to separate is T. viridis because it’s green. 🙂 Some of them can be separated by looking at the dorsal design, but I don’t know them well enough yet to do that with confidence.
