Wolf Spider (Lycosidae), I’m not familiar enough with the genera in Portugal to place it beyond family at this point.
How awful! It’s legs have been cut off and a hole in its abdomen is oozing it’s body fluid Couldn’t you just put it in a glass jar?! No living thing deserves to be tortured and die a slow painful death and spiders DO feel pain
Dear Wolfen, it try not to harm animals, and this of course includes spiders too. Taking photos under lab conditions without killing them is not an easy task. I’m trying to learn more about spiders that live in my municipality in order to gather information to show to students. So please don’t judge me as a bad person just because you see a spider without a leg. You probably have killed ones until today!!!
All legs were cut off at bottom Hole leaking fluid in abdomen means it was slowly losing blood pressure and dying Gruesome if that’s the only way you can “ learn” about them I feel bad for spiders And no I don’t kill them I remove them and have jumping spiders and tarantulas for pets
Haven’t seen any other pictures like yours
