That’s the Shamrock Orb Weaver, Araneus trifolium, in the family Araneidae. They are harmless (except to insects) spiders that build large orb webs to catch flying prey. Quite common in gardens and pastures.
Araneus marmoreus, commonly called the marbled orb-weaver, is a species of spider belonging to the family Araneidae. It is sometimes also called the pumpkin spider from the resemblance of the female’s inflated abdomen to an orange pumpkin.
Does anyone know anything about this spider. It’s really huge.
