This I believe to be a false widow.while turned to one side to turn the light off at 3am ,I see this in the corner of my eye this absailing down 2feet from my face .Not amused .

Yes, male Steatoda nobilis.
Harmless, despite what tabloid nonsense is written by clueless trash journolists in the star/sun/mail etc.
Venom is said to be no worse than a wasp sting. No UK spiders are dangerous.
Spiders do not go around randomly looking for people to bite.

Hi. If I can point out, these males are not known to bite, and you are more likely find them wandering indoors, Female stay in their webs unless driven out.
Chris Buddle, a Canadian arachnologist has observed them trying to bite but seem to lack strength to pierce skin.
