This spider was photographed on Magnetic Island, QLD Australia.
I only noticed it once I walked though the bottom of its web and it very quickly moved to where I was. I’d approximate it’s size at 6” at its widest and I am fairly certain it has red mandibles...

A bit more digging has suggested that it may be a Giant Golden Orb Weaver (Nephila Pilipes) though confirmation would be apprec
Based on the description I’m going with huntsman, but my troll sensor is peaking pretty hard so who knows.
I know it’s not a huntsman as I had a separate incident with one of them, they’re a lot wider, hairier and have thicker legs.
Hi. I can agree this is Nephila pilipes, It is very hard to get some spiders to species from photos, often close examination of identification features is needed.
Their ventral patterns are rather consistent, a look at her bottom side, you can compare to this:
They are quite harmless and docile, I just leave them undisturbed, but some arachnophiles need their selfi:
