Comments & ID Thoughts
Not sure what it is. Caught in Baton Rouge, LA. It had a small web in the Corner of our screen door. I want to be sure it’s not dangerous to people, my son wants it for a pet corner of our screen door. I want to be sure it’s not dangerous to people, I would like to use it for education and then release.

Orb weaver?

Thanks!!! I’ll likely release it tomorrow. Any sense if it’s male or female? (Bad pic I know)
One idea is to leave it where it is and your son can put a bug in it’s web, and mist the web with one spritz of water daily. They’re absolute sweeties, and can’t even penetrate the skin if it tries to bite. I would just leave it, and admire right where it is though 🙂
