Pretty sure this is a Cat Face spider. Harmless to humans and great at killing bugs. They are orbe web weavers. It’s more than likely dead now due to the cold. They do not survive the winter, but their eggs will.

Hi. certainly looks Araneus gemmoides. When these spiders vanish, reasons are often preyed on by wasps, and their lifespan after making and hiding eggs is very short, They can take some awful cold temperature, but may die with the first deep frost of winter. Very harmless, they simply don’t bite, but capable if forced, Insignificant if they did bite, nothing as bad as a bee sting.
