This is Mrs. Catcher. I found her on a plant on a large web and i assumed she was some sort of orb weaver. Shes a little over a cm long and has short legs. I brought her in and set her up a nice little frame to make a web in because theres so many flies in that room.

Hi, she is an orbweaver, I’m not sure which species, possibly Araneus marmoreus. I love the idea of providing a frame where you want the spider to hunt! That’s fantastic! Orbweavers love squared human-built frame work, such as doors, porches, and windows, the support their webs. I’d like to suggest using a frame to people who want to move an orbweaver from a busy doorway. It’s portable too, so you can bring her where the bugs are. My husband says you’re onto a great new decorating trend. Thank you to you and Mrs. Catcher!
