This photo was taken in Colorado Springs, Colorado which is a fairly metropolitan area. It was in the backyard of my 1970’s built home under some foldable lawn chairs that had been outside for about 6 months. I have seen one before in my yard and was curious to know what it was.

Hi, she looks like a Northern black widow, Latrodectus variolus. She found a great background to match her markings.
