Crawled up my leg in the bathroom, Tooele Utah.
Black, pinky nail size, white/light colored butt, thick front hands. Have no clue what it is, my home is infested with several different kinds of spiders. Gross!

We hear about a lot of scary spider bathroom incidents. ;( This is probably one of the ” false widows” in genus Steatoda. They are common spiders. I have them in and outside my house in New England too. The good news is that they are venomous to critters people don’t like, such as black widows and ticks. They aren’t as damaging to humans as true widows in genus Latrodectus. The bites should be still avoided though. The venom can be necrotizing, just much less. These cobweb/tangleweb spiders live in dark places and have messy-looking webs that get very dusty.… Read more »
