Harvestman
Yes, it’s a harvestman, one of the species people call daddy long legs. The harvestmen aren’t spiders, but they are arachnids like spiders are. Some of them do have larger bodies and shorter legs than you usually see. So, your own identification was exactly right. 🙂

Thanks! We specialize in spiders and this site isn’t set up for us to label photos with identifications of anything else more specifically than Order, I think. We can write what we think it is in these discussions though and we appreciate input for the taxonomy of any animal in a photo.
