Comments & ID Thoughts
This is the first, living one I saw in my house. They look harmless but I'm just curious.

Hi. these totally harmless arachnids are called harvestman, sometimes granddaddy long legs.
Not true spiders, they are in the order Opiliones.
They produce no venom or poison,no fangs, and can’ bite skin.
More a scavenger but will take advantage of small live insects.
You can peg these from their single body segment, true spiders have two.
Thank you SO much! I tried googling the spider and came across harvestman but every picture looked like a daddy long leg so I was still unsure.
There is a shorter legged variety that doesn’t look like most photos you’ll find of harvestmen.
