Hi. This is a female cobweb spider, one of the false black widows, Steatoda genus.
While not always visible, the light lateral band across the front of the abdomen is fairly consistent with these with or without other pattern. They lack the nefarious red hourglass found on the widows.

Thanks BugmanDan! I have two photos up under New Hampshire that might be this species also. They have the band and I took another photo of one that lives in my compost bin. She has the puckered spots on the abdomen like the photos in the link. Please take a look.
